DJ Sangh governs itself and operates by means of teams. Team membership is open to all DJ Sangh community members. If you wish to join a team or have any questions about the team please contact the team co-ordinators listed below. If you are interested in joining the Trustees team please fill this form.

Donations to DJ Sangh

DJ Sangh Funds

DJ Sangh has several funds to meet your giving objectives. Most donations are tax deductible since DJ Sangh is a 501(c)(3) corporation EIN: 47-5636025. Please click on the following options to learn more about each fund. All questions about donations should be sent to Advancement team.

Temple Fund is used for building the temple complex

This is the largest fund used for the building of the temple complex and is fully tax deductible. There are many programs in this fund that offer contribution to different aspects of building the temple complex and offer different recognition. Please select fund in the pledge form for the list of funds. Corporate matching is possible only if the corporation supports religious causes. The donations made to this fund will be used only towards the new temple construction work.

General Fund provides expenses for all operational, religious, youth and educational activities

of DJ Sangh. All donations with no specified fund category are deposited in General Fund. All donations to this fund are tax deductible. Corporate matching is possible only if the corporation supports religious causes.

Outreach Fund supports programs for promoting nonviolence and community outreach.

Donation to this fund is fully tax deductible and corporation match is allowed.

Trustees Fund is a reserve fund from contributions by Trustees.

You can become a Trustee of DJ Sangh by paying tax deductible Trustee membership fee during the Trustee open enrollment period. In order for the Trustee team to operate effectively Trustee membership enrollment is restricted to certain time windows. All trustee membership fee is accrued to Trustee Fund. It is a special reserve fund and can be used only after a resolution from Trustees. Corporate matching is possible only if the corporation supports religious causes.If you are interested in becoming a Trustee please contact Advancement Team.

Cultural Fund supports social events such as Diwali/Holi/New Year programs

for which usually donor receives a benefit. Donation to this fund is not tax deductible.

To pay via PayPal please use their donor fund site using the button on the top or https://www.paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/1487312. You will receive a receipt directly from PayPal for your tax purpose.

Zelle

Please send Zelle payment to finance@djsangh.org using your banking app or zelle mobile app.

For proper credit please add a note including your phone number and the fund you are contributing to.

Stock Transfer

You can donate your appreciated stock directly to DJ Sangh without selling it first and save on the tax on the capital gains. In addition, you may be able to deduct FMV of the stock at the time of donation if it was held long term, or cost basis if it was held short term. To donate stock please contact your broker and initiate a transfer to DJ Sangh account. You will need following information about DJ Sangh account-

Payroll Deduction

Your employer may allow direct payroll deduction for giving funds to a charity. The company may also have a match program to contribute the same or more amount to the same charity. Please check with your company.
